Bended plywood stool

The human race has used geometrical shapes for centuries and that’s why we mostly know every single one of them by heart. It’s just something we know, and it’s interesting.

At mathematics lesson I always loved the part where I had to find circumferences, perimeters, superficies and cubages. I think that’s why I  thought about geometrical shapes when I started designing the stool, and finally decided to choose the equilateral trapezium. It’s such a beautiful shape, and can be used in so many different ways.

The stool is made out of 7 mm bended birch plywood. It consists of two identical halfs, which in the end are glued together and covered with veneer. Under the stool there’s rubber feet that prevents it from moving.
